The Tactical Weapons Class focuses on the tactical employment of the firearm and edged weapons. This class is intended for students who have taken prior pistol shooting courses and are familiar with the functional aspects of the pistol, the basic fundamentals of shooting and practical applications for self defense. The courses have a strong influence from the Russian approach to pistol and knife work, but other schools of thought are also incorporated into the courses.
In this class, you will learn the basics of tactical movement with a pistol and knife through a series of experimental drills.
We will focus on the following: safety, malfunctions, shooting position, fundamentals of Russian Instinctive Point Shooting, transition drills and the tactical mindset. You will learn the basics of tactical movement with a pistol in confined spaces (home, office, etc.), low light environments, multiple terrains and finally force on force scenarios.In the knife work you will learn swift draws on the move and subtle conceals, a variety of cutting and stabbing work, developing speed, agility, peripheral vision, wrist power and dexterity, precision of contact and dosage of impact, 5 levels of fear and fear dissipation, professional work with the handle, tip and flat of the blade, and effects of weapons on your psyche.
If you have a current CCW license or are thinking of obtaining one, this class will increase your skills and level of confidence in the event of a violent confrontation. If you carry a knife for personal defense, then we can enhance your skills realistically and practically.
